Debut album from blues-rock supergroup featuring Nick Cave and Warren Ellis of The Bad Seeds. Nasty, dirty, bold, abrasive and brilliant, with more than a few echoes of Cave's early band The Birthday Party, Grinderman's music is not for the faint of heart - the blues deconstructed and played with wild abandon by men who describe themselves as "old enough toknow better". Includes the single 'No Pussy Blues'.
Grinderman debut album is out on Mute UK on March 5 and in North America on Anti- on April 10. |

About two years ago I was going to direct a music video for the band of another friend, an extra I met on a production, but three days before the shoot they decided they did not had the money to go for it, even though it would have been quite cheap but they were still a band looking for a label and could not afford it. However since I had already made contact on a bar where we would be able to shoot for free, I still wanted use the bar for something and decided to shoot a video for Stagger Lee, just for fun. ~Ricardo Mesquita
